Advice sought for 270WIN cast loads

Found this site seeking advice with 270WIN cast loads.
You fellows had a group buy back in 2014 for a 6.8 SPC design. There was a lot of helpful info for me in the discussion and design process.

I’ve cast and loaded loaded 158SWC w/gc in 357MAG revolver and lever rifle and taken three deer with them out of the lever gun, 311291 for 30-30 and ’06 with one deer taken, also 160gr Lee for 30cal loads, and have a 245498 that I’ve not had much luck with.

I’m a novice, so may have some silly questions. I’m interested in how the 124gr 279 124gr FN design performs and also the 279 165 FN.
I have a brand new RCBS 279-150-SP that is yet to be used, and it looks like the GC will be within the case neck like you guys fretted about in the designs for the SPC back in 2014. I never even thought to consider that seriously, trusting the powder gases to keep it in place. Did anyone try the 124gr in 270WSM? I guess it would be kinda silly, but maybe fun.

Anyway, does anyone here want to share their experience with the two NOE designs listed above? I’m starting with 10gr or so of Red Dot and/or 700-X for the RCBS boolit.

I cant vouch for those molds, but i can tell cast works very well in the .270 Win and you will be happy with that RCBS mold.

The NOE 279-165-FN looks like it would perform well. Wish it had more of meplate because i am a hunter.

The 279-124-FN-E2 would be a perfect fit for my riffle. A pound cast will tell you if its good for you. I would use an alloy to make it drop at .001 larger. That would make that bullet fit my riffle like a glove and could easily make loads from 1400 fps to 2050 fps loads.
