Participant::I am not aware of .20 cal slugs (bullets) used in airguns, only pellets…. The NOE sizing bushings do not produce the taper needed for sizing pellets…. but I am talking to Al about the possibility of making sizing dies for pellet to fit their current die body…. I will include .20 cal in those discussions….

This is good news Bob , I hope Al may also consider making some .177 dies also .

Moderator::I tend to think that you might potentially be asking for a sizing die kit … that is not currently offered by NOE… What 20 caliber mould do you have that you need to size,… & to what diameter?
Attached is the link to the currently existing NOE sizing die offerings…

https://noebulletmolds.com/site/product-category/sizing-tools/sizing_kits/Sort of bringing this back to the top, but what are the chances of a .20 cal mould along with the sizing dies?

Moderator::brewbear,
For that you will most probably need at least 10 individuals all asking for the same new mould or airgun pellet design…
For an inventory run of a mould that is currently out of stock attached below is the link to that current NOE requirement….
https://noebulletmolds.com/smf/index.php/topic,1624.0.html & https://noebulletmolds.com/smf/index.php?topic=713.0
That requirement at the moment appears to be at least 5 individual asking for a specific mould in a short period of time as per the NOE links above…
For items that NOE has not made before, such as your recent inquiry about a 20 caliber bullet mould and the appropriate NOE sizing dies… here is the current NOE link to that set of new mould requirements taken directly from that topic on the NOE store home page…
https://noebulletmolds.com/site/about-us-2/group-buy-rules/
It would appear to currently need at least 10 individual who are firmly committed to the buy once a design has been drawn up and posted on the forum
Maybe you and others who think alike … can talk Al into changing the current NOE requirements on these matters… as he is the owner of the business…
A specific mould cast bullet weight and a rough mould drawing would (I tend to believe) definitely be helpful to your effort… to attract similar interested parties…
If so it would definitely be interesting…
I have no axe to grind … I am just trying to help those newer to the NOE forum to try to get what they might want…

To start off with there are currently no GC manufacturers making a 20 caliber Gas Check…
That detail alone would help your cause greatly… for a cast bullet for something other than an airgun…
If you know of a commercial GC maker making a 20 caliber GC please let me know as I would definitely be most interested… in looking at their product… and getting the dimensions for that cast product to add to my design war bag…
This would tend to limit your options in a 20 caliber cast product to a PB version cast bullet design…
A PB design is basically limited to less than 1600 FPS, otherwise one will tend to get horrible leading.
Unless of course you plan to limit your cast bullet shooting to a powder like Trail Boss or making a 20 caliber airgun pellet – bullet.
Somehow I do not tend to think that this is a viable option in, something other than an airgun cast bullet … that venue is for someone else to comment on… in a pure Pb lead format.
For the 204 Ruger with jacketed bullets one is normally going to want to try to push 3500 to 4000 FPS… to get any kind of range and velocity…
While this is a laudable option even with a Linotype or quite possibly even a monotype designed cast bullet … I really tend to doubt that you would be happy with the performance of the cast product that you apparently tend to envision…
I truly wish that I could be of more help to you in your 20 caliber cast bullet mould endeavor … However it is for the moment at least … It is what it is…
In the interim between my last posting to you, and your latest reply I went into my software design package and designed a 35 Gr .205 dia PB cast bullet design in linotype … That same bullet in WW would be a 37 Gr .205 dia in the NOE std of wheelweights…

Oh, my goodness! I am only looking for 20 caliber pellets, my job doesn’t allow me too much free time and going to a range… well, air rifles I can shoot on my modest range at home. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Just a thought…
You might want to list the specific 20 caliber airgun that you want a 20 caliber pellet mould for … and the approximate pellet weight that you are looking for…
That way maybe the other air gunners out there might chime in with their requests too… & the airgun guru might also have an input that will tend to help you in your endeavor.
You may have noticed that I changed the title of the string a tiny bit to perhaps a tiny bit better reflect your airgun pellet request…

I might PM the Airgun Guru noted below … on that note. I seem to remember that he did posted a while back that he did not tend to size the airgun cast product pellets that he produced…
If there was any sizing to be done he would be the one to talk to you specifically about that…
You might also tend to post what 20 caliber rifle that you have as that may tend to make a difference if he does recommend sizing the 20 caliber pellets…
Attached is the specific posting quote from rsterne that I am referencing from 2019

::Mike B.,
The proposed .177 and .20 molds are for Bob’s Boat Tail slugs, not pellets.
I have many, many air rifles that might shoot the BBT’s well, especially if I can get sizing dies..
It would be sweet if both the .177 and .20 molds and dies became available. Even better if sizing dies for pellets in those calibers also materialize..
A girl can dream, can’t she?

Moderator::Yes, one can sincerely dream …
Now you only need at least 9 more specific individuals with in NOE’s set time frame … who are also interested in a specific product… like 20 caliber sizing dies… to meet NOE’s requirements for a new product… under NOE’s current group buy rules … as noted below.
https://noebulletmolds.com/site/about-us-2/group-buy-rules/
I do sincerely wish you and others luck on your airgun slug requests… and will continue to watch this thread with interest… I sincerely hope that you do succeed …
It is basically why I commented that you touch base with the airgun guru to get some further guidance on your quest… to hopefully get others to join in the postings for your requested 20 caliber sizing dies… for specific intel on what might possibly be needed… for your airgun slugs in 20 caliber…
Hopefully … I am only trying to help you to get the specific intel needed to be of use to the airgun enthusiasts … like you…
