I put my vote in for the 2.5 cal-long .224. There is a 225WFN in my acquisition que ahead of it though…
          cheers,

I am primarily interested in the .30 cal pellet barel molds or a mold. How many cavities per mold? 4? If so for the .30 can I suggest 2 cavities per bullet design (2). How much would such a mold cost?

lkdtvl…. What weights do you have I mind?…. I looked briefly at .338 cal with the idea of longer, heavier bullets for long range work…. The other calibers you mention would be hard to make BBTs for unless they were very powerful, shooting heavy bullets…. The .448 would be similar to the .458s…. .477 and .512 would have to be heavier…. Minimum weight in .512 would be about 340 gr….

How many votes does a mold need to be produced? I would be interested primarily in the 2 .30 designs.

What is going to happen now? Any of those molds didn’t get required 10 buyers. More time?  :-

Will take the one with the most votes and start a buy with it first.
The Poll will still stay open and will see what comes.

Hmmm we need to add a .245 for the 243 fans and the6mm guy’s
If it’s a HP I’m thinking I could round up 10 pretty quickly. How about a 4 cavity aluminum RG4
Any idea what this would have weigh
Yep smaller bullets are harder to cast as a HP even if we have to fight a sticking bullet it would be worth the head ache

All my designs are pretty much scaled up or down between the calibers, with the only changes those that are necessary…. Since the change from .257 down to .243 is very small, I can pretty much give you the weights…. In .257 they are 65 gr., 78 gr., 90 gr., 102 gr., and 113 gr…. so in .243 they would be 55 gr., 66 gr., 76 gr., 86 gr., and 96 gr…. The required twist rates would be about 13″, 11″, 9″, 8″, and 7″ respectively…. The rear drive band would be 0.245″…. If you are quite certain you can get enough guys, let me know what weights to draw up and I’ll see if Al will add them to the poll….

None of them can be done as an RG Hollowpoint style mold, but you could have one HP cavity with a Lyman style removable pin…. I don’t know what the minimum required Meplat is for that…. Al?…. Can you go down to 1/8″?…. smaller?….

If we go much below .125 its real fragile.
Wouldn’t want to go below .120.

                                    Thanks for that, Al…. I’ll use a 1/8″ pin / Meplat as a guide then?….
