Hi guys , what mold should I purchase for my Marlin model 1895 guide gun 45-70
I want a 400gr bullet ..I purchased a mold but purchased the wrong one ..
      I need some help here.
I think the mold I purchased is for a 45-70 single shot
The marlins have about Zero lead in the throat so the bullet need to start tapering directly after the crimp groove..

Easy one,  My Marlin 1895 SBL loves the 460-405 RF.

I Hi Tek coat mine along with using a gas check. On the left is a raw cull and on the right is one coated with a GC and sized.

In my 1895 (I trim my brass to trim length) I’ve used several bullets that worked well.  The 460-405-RF is a great one, I’ve also been using the HTC459-354-RF lately with the hollow point.  It has worked well in my 1895sbl as well as my 1886.  It has a longer nose but still feeds well in both and works very well at blowing up those milk jugs.
