,,, Stop. Well probably not. What with the success of the ,360 open nose wad cutter over at Closed Group Buys – I have been thinking about something along those lines for 44 special/44 mag. I’d like to see something like a Lyman 429-352 with a Crimp groove ( probably in a .432 – .434,  depending on what folks would like ) – Somewhere in the neighborhood of 240 – 250 grains as a solid. Offered with an open nose in RG 2 and 4 format. A cylinder full of these look mighty ugly from the front end. Looks like an oil drum from the side. Anyone else interested. Maybe we could talk Swede into putting up a drawing to look at.

That sounds interesting…like something I could use. I would like to see a drawing of it too. I’ll keep an eye on this thread. :)

I’d like to see a pic of it. My .44 special BH might like one.

If I knew how to import a picture over from castpics I would. Over at Cast Boolits there are a few nice photos of this bullet if you search Lyman 429-352. I believe it’s GLL who has put up the photos in a few threads. Just don’t know how to do it.

Can use the tool we have to make one that will be about 240Gr. with a 223Gr. HP
It would be like this one but the top lube groove would be a Crimp Groove

Substantially different than  the Lyman 429-352 . Not the one I had in mind – But if folks want this one then do it.  Let me know if I need to start another interest thread for a Lyman 429-352 as per original thread title.

I could be talked into a hollow base mold. I really don’t want a solid and no cavity. :)

What if this one was a RG? It would look like the 360432 that is currently in a Group Buy, only bigger.  8)

I like the idea Beagle 333 has. The drawing Al has provided looks just right and a solid or HP can be made with this mold for those who want it. Let’s keep this alive. How many do we need to get this on active buy status? :)

If your talking the lyman 429-352 in the original title to this post – It’s a great looking mold. Just don’t know how to export a picture from castpics.net site with the reference list of molds. Maybe i’ll see if I can get GLL to put a photo up here.
