These are some questions that get asked from time to time regarding our buys

      Question
Thank you for quickly designing the WFN .224 45g boolit for us!! Als
When can we complete the checkout process and mail the money order for the mold, etc.?
      Thanks!
      Answer
We have the tool on order now.
Its been taking about a week and a half to get the tooling.
As soon as we get the tooling we close the buy and get it in the shop
We can run it through the shop in about 2 or 3 days if the tooling is on and everything
      works as it should.
As soon as it is done in the shop and everything is good we will list them on the website
and send out a PM for payment with the discount code.
We still have about 2 weeks before you will need to send in payment
We do try to speed this up if we can, but this is about what it takes now.

Will add more  questions and answers as we go

          How would you enforce it?

The only way would seem to be to have people pay when they sign up. that means laying out money without any guarantee of if and when the buy might happen. I suspect that that would put more people off signing up than currently drop out.

It would also mean that NOE would have to refund if money if the buy didn’t meet the required number giving them more admin work.

At the end of the day it is up NOE how they run their GBs, I think the current method is a good as it gets.

Things come up some times and we like to keep that in mind.
Don’t mind a guy having to cancel out of a buy as much as the guy that
just doesn’t bother to cancel his order and backs out with no word.

Have to look at it as just one more to add to the inventory!

10 orders for a mould is the aim if some people specify brass and others specify aluminium does that make a difference to the numbers you need or is it just 10 people wanting a specific mould that tips it over the top.

I have joined a group buy. My post is the 9th one, of more than 10 (at the moment), and yet, my name is not shown on the list (vacant after #4).  Furthermore, I have offered to pre-pay, because I NEED this mold! How can I know if my order has been accepted / recognized?

So what GB is this you are referring to?

Wouldn’t need to be enforced if there was a reason not to  I’ve been trying to stay out of this kinda thing on a open forum, but just a little push might help Al’s business model. We all want to see him do well as he makes some good molds, just a couple ideas maybe a deeper discounts for the first 10 or 15 who signed up a stayed the course or free shipping. I think his shipping cost needs to be looked at any how  sometimes a look from the other side could help,I’m sure others might have a ideal or two as well

Regarding shipping, I’ve always wondered why NOE double packages the molds. I’ve wondered why it might be needed.

Never felt like the flat rate envelope was enough to hold together by its self.
And the large Video box cost more to ship – moulds fit in the Large Video box the best.
Its about the most cost efficient way I could come up with that got the job done.
For $5.75 with delivery in 2 to 3 days – I think its hard to do much better.
And the Post Office is almost next door!

Sir you might want to look at the new small flat rate box it’s a little bit deeper than the older one and a little bit shorter should fit your needs perfect for shipping molds,Please keep the mold white boxes,I’ve just completed a 32 hole storage cabinet just for them, now all I need is about 24 or 25 more molds I’ve been told I have the largest collection in East Texas, I’m two away from having every mold Lee has listed in there 2015 catalog I’m still catching up on my list of RCBS and others so if you please to do away with the little white boxes I need to buy at least 25 more of them
But please check out that new flat rate box

Haven’t seen the new box on the USPS web-store yet
Will keep a eye open for it.
White box’s should be around for as long as we are.

I like when molds are packed good. At least when it is travelling other side of globe. There is lots of hands throwing that packet around. When I got my .260 Brass 4-cavity mold it was loose inside that packet. I think reason was that brass is so much heavier than aluminium. But mold was ok fortunately. Other mold makers using just one box…
