      Hi NOE Crew,
How long should you wait before you seat a Gas Check and lube a bullet after casting?

      Thank You In Advance,
      MickeyJr.

The sooner the better in my opinion. With some alloys if you wait you are just going to increase your work load as they harden up over time.

I agree with reed1911, the sooner the better.  Do it while it is still softer.

If I am running them through a suppressor, I try to powder coat after gas checking–to make sure the gas check doesn’t fly off in the suppressor.  If I don’t plan on shooting them through a suppressor, I am fine gas checking after powder coating.  One thing to note, now that I have the gas check seating die from NOE, it really makes “gas checking after powder coating” much easier.  It helps to keep the noses good while putting on those tight gas checks.
