Hi I’m interested in getting a new .357mag mold as both my old lee 6 cavitys are getting pretty worn after 20000+ casts. I’m thinking round nose and a small flat point or a truncated nose with slick sides and also the option for a crimp groove for those with lever guns. Is anyone else interested in something similar?

I am. Our ideas of what the nose looks like differs a little.

I’m thinking something like in the photo. Rounded edges on the front like RanchDogs flat base on the rear. Just enough crimp groove.

I would prefer a smaller metplat than that more like the lee 150 round nose but slightly flattened on the end. The people I’ll be casting this for use it in cas and don’t need a big metplat to catch up when feeding in there lever guns. I’ll see if I can take some measurements and draw something today.

Great drawing cornmastah! I’ll double check my lee mould for the crimp location but that looks good! I may take two of these in 5 cavity if funds allow.

Crimp is spot on in the right spot cornmastah. Exactly the same as the lee mold. Lets get this mold made!
