Due to differences in desired designs, I thought it would be best to make a different thread for the two different HTC 357 mag bullets.  Here is the design that BlueJay was more interested in:

This looks great except it is a touch heavy for my likes could it be scaled down to around 160 ish?

My most accurate rf molds or swc molds all throw around 158-162 with ww and 1% tin.

Lol I’d say this is more up my ally. I appreciate smarter people than myself doing drawings and proof of profile like this. I love this idea of the nose better than the 150ish grain better but a touch heavy. Not to say I couldn’t get used to a heavier mold but would prefer to go no heavier than 160 gr if possible. No lighter than 150. My sp101 may like a heavier bullet idk it’s point of aim is slightly low w a 158 so this could take care of that if it were heavier but if I had a similar design I’m used to shooting the 158 class weight. Most likely everyone’s data for 158s are going to transfer w little difference. If we could weigh the bullet less for say a 160 then I’m on board for 2 if not I’m prob on board for two. Is there a chance to lighten it up?

With a hollow point you’re probably looking at 160. So maybe get one plain base and one hollow point. Gas check design might get it close to your target weight as well.

Yeah count me in for two for sure. Both 5 cavity plain based non hollow point

Thanks. Now we need a couple more to go live.

Ok guys, I went ahead and made this group buy active.  I still need Al to draw up the official mold pictures with the gas check and hollowpoint options.  Go ahead and sign up at the link below:

Once the thread above has 10 people, it will be added to the run schedule.  I am quite excited about this one.
