Add to me to interest list. I’d prefer a standard lube design but at this point I’ll take anything heavy and hollowpoint

Since all the standard lube grooves shoot fine powder coated and/or lubed with alox/45-45-10, I’ll go with the majority to get this group buy done!

So like the current 200 gr WFN but with a hollow point option?  Or with slick sides?

Yes, I’m looking for a (close + or –  5grains) cast to 180 HP and I mainly powder coat and use 45-45-10.

I do not have any experience with WFN designs in an auto so not sure if there would be any feeding issues.

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I was thinking the meplat somewhere around .300″ and a bullet diameter of .402.

All my barrels slug at .400″ so .401-.402 would be perfect for me. More than likely, it is going to cast .001-.002″ larger anyway (PC will add another .001-002″ too) and I would prefer to keep my sizing down to minimal.

ok, what do you think about this one?

Not sure how this will feed with that wide of a meplat.

I might be interested. However, I’m curious about whether this design should have a gas check groove. I suppose if they are only running subsonic, it wouldn’t be necessary.

Additionally (and pardon my ignorance), is it safe to assume that these would shoot similarly to an equivalent with grooves cut in it? I suppose it would, since plated bullets typically don’t have grooves lol

I have seen no leading issues in any of my pistols with a plain base design. I have a 6″ GP100 in .357 that I push a 158 grain SWC with a BHN of 12 using MP-300 powder to 1475 fps with no leading or accuracy issues.

Again I’m talking about pistol velocities as I have not cast for any rifles to date. However, Maybe NOE can also add a GC design and even machine a mold that can cast both a plain base and gas check.

PS: Grease groove or not, there will be no accuracy differences.

Good point. No sense muddying the waters with multiple designs. Just a thought was all.

I’m sure powdercoating the base helps aid with the non-leading. You can count me in for interest in this!
