          Yes, starting to get excited!

The watermelons this season are just not going to have a chance. Plus the local deer love to clean up the mess. The solid 700 grainers already really do a number on them, I’ve had a lot fun exploding melons. I just can not imagine what these super deep sets will do. I bet a light trail boss load for near 45 acp velocities would be fun for any level of shooters.

Agreed, mountainman. I would even like to purchase a new 500 for this- might trade in my trusty 8 inch. I just can’t decide whether I want the 5 inch or the loooooong barrel PC version.

Many shooters I’ve seen on videos seem to love the long pc model. I was close on purchasing the 8 3/4 barrel but ended up with my 6.5 half lug. Love my purchase. I wanted a model that I could, even as big as they are, carry for Mountain treks if I so desired. So I got a guides choice leather chest holster by diamond d. Super nice product, and works amazing when riding and wanting comfort, function and waist area free for other gear.
I’m still tempted to get a pro hunter 500 barrrel for my Thompson single shot. Could have even more fun there, but I heard the recoil is pretty steep with full power loads and such a light rifle.
I’d like for someone on here to come up with maybe a good recipe for snake loads also. Then the 500 magnum could really do even more. I used to always carry a pack of those in snake country when I had a .357 backup.
I’m just glad this mold is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality for us all that want it. Fun project

I removed the design change to run with existing tooling.  Enough people wanted the original design I drew up, so we will stick with that and wait for 10 buyers.  Looks like we just need 4 more?

Still hoping to keep the dream alive. This season is out, but maybe spring water jugs can still happen. Only a few more folks to make this one a go.
