With the 44 Mag HTC mold done, I would like to propose an HTC mold for my other most often used caliber, .32. Specifically, the 327 Mag in the Ruger Single Seven platform.
Ideally, I envision a slick sided RF or WFP HP projectile designed to be cut at approx 85 grains and the heaviest 100+ grain allowed by the limitations of the SS cylinder.
What say the forum membership?

I think .312 would work since the coating will add a couple thousandths. My preference is a bit “pointier” nose since I will also use this one in a rifle.
At the risk of heresy accusations, I will suggest another makers design as an example, the MP 314640, http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?157735-MiHec-2-or-4-cavity-brass-314640-115gr-Cramer-HP. This profile, as heavy as possible, with the crimp groove placed at .290 or so to fit the Single Seven would be a hit with me.
Designing this one to allow cutting at two weights (say, 85-90gr and a heavyweight) would be a great bonus.

This one came out looking ugly, IMO. What dimensions need to be changed? I’m not very familiar with the .327 federal. What diameter should the bore rider section be? Also, autodidact, you said in one post you want a wide flat nose, and the later post you said a long pointy nose. Which design did you want more?

Yeah, I was a bit vague. Mentioning a WFP was probably contrary to my actual intentions. I also linked to the heavier version of my suggested profile, which is too long for the SS. I envision the bullet in the link (image above) with the lube groove and gas check eliminated. This one was originally designed as .300 crimp to nose. That is the max for the SS, so knocking .010 off the nose, to be sure it will fit, might be a good idea. The original designer was stingy with dimensions on his drawings, so I offer his drawing as a suggestion of what’s in my head.
