HTC359-129-TC-CD4 in the Ruger 9mm PC Carbine.
Made some time over the holiday and cast with the new HTC359-129-TC-CD4.

Used a 5 cavity mould, washed in hot soapy water and pre-heated it.
Pot temperature was 700F. Lightly smocked it with a propane lighter and
ran it up to frosty bullets, about 470F. Backed it down to just a mat grey finish,
390F to 420F and cast with it.

Like most all our HTC moulds, bullets feel from it with ease.
Bullets dropped from mould at .3596” with our wheel weight alloy.
Powder coated with (2) coats of Harbor Fright Red (400F for 20min) .3616”
and sized to .3583 with our bushing push through size die .358”.
Was a little surprised that it would size down in one pass. Did use some
Hornady Unique Case Lube to lube them with. Works wonders!

Now to get back in to the reloading room and get them loaded.
Had the PC Carbine for 3 or 4 months and haven’t had it out yet.
      Will post as we go.

Have you had a chance to shoot them yet?

I am putting together a AR9 and they are saying that they are real finicky on the feeding. This was one of the molds I was looking at. Just wondering if you have any feed back from anyone running it in a AR yet?

          Old thread.

I too use Hornady one shot when using the noe sizer. It really helps along and isn’t harmful to powder or primers from what I can tell. I don’t wash the one shot off I just lay them in a old shirt and kinda tumble them around in it to get the most off. Doesn’t affect accuracy
