I have been reading old post and I see that round ball is out of the question. But what about a old Johnston and Dow bullet for making paper cartridges for cap and ball revolvers??
Eras is where I found the pictures. That I was hoping one of the guys with the software to draw bullets would be able to make one. And then I was hoping enough people still shoot cap and ball to warrant making these molds. So I could get one or both in a 4 cavity.
The drawing that Sam Fisher posted for me with pure lead is predicted to throw a Johnston & Dow 222 grain bullet. if you are a Holy Black cap and ball shooter and are interested in a 44 caliber heeled bullet please chime in and express your interest.
I just got back into making Holy Black. And i ordered a set of 1858s for my cowboy action shooting. And I dont mind the round ball. But I want paper cartridges. It is great to see that there was interest before. And now Holy Black pistols are being sold in on mass. And with Mike’s drawing it makes seem like it is more real now.
