Is there any interest in the following mold?

Lyman Bullet Mold #225415 22 Caliber (225 Diameter) 55 Grain Flat Nose Gas Check & plain base?

Evidently, Lyman shows a 45 grain version in the 3rd edition Cast bullet handbook.
      Does anyone know why?

Also, if anyone has this mold and would be willing to send a couple samples to Al for measurements, it would be greatly appreciated.

This is a bullet I have wanted for my 222 Remington.

      Thanks 25 Remington

Looks good to me…. The Kolbe Twist calculator says an 11-12″ twist will be needed Subsonic, and about a 14″ twist if ONLY Supersonic….

It looks older version I think. When compared picture on first page, atleast on my eye… or I need eyeglasses…
          Hmm I like it.

As a side note, the bullet samples I received were about .224 in diameter.  I bumped it out to .225 to make it more usable to more users.

This is exactly why I want an NOE mould. I can be assured that it will drop at a diameter that will be correct. It’s easy to size a bullet down, not so easy to make it bigger. These are the design changes that make NOE moulds  and the group buy process so important.

Yup. .225 is diameter which suits for me best.

That’s great, now we need several more and cornmastah  can move this to group buy.

if 2 more people say they are interested, I will start the group buy–and then we can wait for the other 5 to make a complete 10.

I am very interested in the GC version, 2 cavity with a Lyman HP pin in one side…. I just have to see if I can scare up a 10-12″ twist barrel for it…. or take a chance and try it in my 14″….

Okay that’s a good start. Others that are interested are welcome to step forward now or wait for the group buy to be listed. C’mon lets make this happen.

No one has said anything yet so maybe we should talk about it now. Anyone interested?

I went back and looked… rstern … said he wanted a 2 cavity with a HP in 1 cavity. I think that is a lyman style HP.
