Hello everyone.
Looking to pick a few brains. I recently aquired a Marlin 336ER 356win. As I always do when working up loads, the first thing I do is use the Hornady Comparator to check the OAL to give me a starting point.
Well this riffle apparently has a deep throat. With the NOE Ranch Dog 190 clone the bullet is barely in the case when it contacts the rifling. Same for the 200gr Seirra Prohunter. Was the 356 win in the Marlin chambered for a 250ish bullet?
Should I seat to the crimp groove and proceed?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
