Mould for the mas36

      Any body got any experience casting and shooting the French mas36 rifle any advice on a suitable mould load data etc.

        My mas36 has a tight throat and the K31 mold has done well in it although I haven’t had time to really find a good load for that mold. It also shoots most spire points that I’ve used well from the 314129  to the 155 , just about any in that range should seat and shoot well.. My mas has a chamber that’s not true to the bore and I think many were like this so if you neck sizing only mark the fired position and see if it helps.. Can’t remember my loads off hand on this one but I think 18 grs of 2400 or 4227 with the 155’s or even 28~30 grs of 4895/4064 should all be good working loads, be sure to check against some printed data. The 7.62x54r fcd  if you desire a crimp. The  308 win neck Sizer die with a  spacer/washer for length difference works well for collet sizing.

          Mine likes a long nosed bore riding design.  You might take a look at the NOE 311 188 FN Hunter.  Also, I agree with the suggestion of trying the 314299.
