Last year I got a new 40lb bottom pouring lead furnace from Stephan (sandman15) in Germany which was a real buy and has being making excellent bullets for me ever since, see my previous posts.

I have been ladle dipping from a PID controlled Lyman 10 lb pot, I like to have the temperatures in my casting process as consistent as possible (melting pots run trough PIDs and thermometer fitted moulds), being only 10lb capacity the Lyman has its limitations, so I have been looking at larger capacity dipping pots, RCBS have just released their new Easy Melt with built in PID at 25lbs capacity which I am looking to try and acquire an example of. However I also thought I’d see if Stephan did such things so a couple of emails later and this 40lb PID controlled beauty is on order.

Delivery should be middle of next month as he will need to get a Fahrenheit PID in for me.

      Pwoarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Awesome. Stephan is “the Man” when it comes to build pots.

Good. Very good. Only thing I have casted only couple times because I was on that darn back surgery and when I was in  “cast condition” weather stops my sessions. Winter knocks on and it was too cold to sit on balcony and cast. Now just waiting to get my lead smelted to ingots and then I’m back in casting.
