Need a mold for .348 Winchester

Howdy. First post here and hope I didn’t miss this, but I’d sure love to see a .349/.350 wide meplat mold somewhere between 200 and 250 grains to cast bullets for my Browning Model 71 in .348 Winchester. Been told the Miroku guns have short or no throats, so that would have to be factored in.
Folks seem to like the RCBS .348-200 FN gas check mold. Lyman made the .350-482 255 grain mold years ago.

There is interest out there but it’s thin and scattered. The discussion in the ” Group Buy Discussion” on 8-1-14 with flycutter and kwixdraw and the “Our New Wish List” discussion on 3-17-15 with Jim Betush all center around a .348-.350 bullet. The “NOE Bullet Drawings” don’t show any moulds cut for this caliber so it’s virgin territory and you’ll need at least ten interested buyers. I would consider a mould in the 220-250 grain range. If you can pull all these people together your half way there.

David … Word of caution.  Don’t know about all the other shooters experiences, but with the old Lyman 250 gr. RN, the nose was too long to feed thru my Browning Model 71.  Until Al get enough requests for a .348 Win. mold, try to find yourself an RCBS .348-200-FN mold.  Feeds fine & shoots even better in my ’71, sized at .350″.  Jim

I haven’t used the Lyman mould you mentioned so thanks for the heads up. I’ve played some with the RCBS 348-200 but so far nothing to brag about on my end. Just keep experimenting till I get something that works well. Thanks again.
