I am surprised?  I got mine on Saturday and had it casting in a few hours after unboxing.  Not going to do much with it right now (as far as loading) but I had some softer lead in the pot making the big .50 cal xtra deep HP so I decided to run some lead through the mould.

I ran half with the deep HP pin and half with the solid pin just to see how it went.  The cavities with no HP pin fell out as soon as the mould was opened and the others fell off the pins with a few taps. I ran the temp up on the lead as I was having filling issues and they worked themselves out.  As you can see in the pics I was getting that uneven bullet finish that seems to go away with more use (at least for me).

I has some uneven fill at the nose of the HP since it is so thin and the flat pin looks like it didn’t seat for the example. Overall this thing is a beast, cant wait to see how it shoots.

Wish I wasn’t so dang busy!  I’m going to try to do some casting and loading with the bullet hopefully in the next couple weeks.

I cast up a few of the solids to start playing with.  Going to see if I can find some time to do some starting load calculations.
