Tikka T3 Lite, 50 yards, aluminum GC, sized to .310″, COL 3.221″, the 22 grainers chronied approx. 1950 fps (correction… 1790 fps on re-check, chrony too close on initial test). I was working up some loads with different powders and was unable to find any 2400 but I found some obscure references to IMR 4227 which I had on hand. 22 grains was as high as had gone and no pressure signs so I will be trying some hotter loads and possibly some with Dacron filler.

I got the mold, coated some up and did test cycle in mag and chamber for my DPMS LR-308 they fit and cycled by hand with zero issues, I also have them sized to .3105 and used my homemade aluminum gas checks (Thanks Freechex3) I don’t plan on using these for 300, but did a test fit to see how it would look, and included in the pic is the NOE 225-60gr-RN (221 copy)
I used the Harbor Freight powder coat setup with their black powder, I haven’t used the lube or Alox for anything other than handgun so I’m not sure how different they are. I plan on taking them out for ladder load testing tomorrow at Lee Kay, I have shot a lot of different powder coated .308 cast bullets and .223 cast bullets, you can get them up to jacketed velocity but you lose accuracy pretty quickly. With the 311299 cast bullets I plan on keeping them close to 2000 FPS or less if it will still cycle in my AR-10, I don’t plan on making 600 yard shots but my goal is 1.5″ groups at 300 yards.

I was unable to find the receipt for the gas checks but they were the cheapest I could find on the internet. If I come across the manufacturer I’ll let you know.
As an update, I worked up some heavier loads and tested at 100 yards. The upper 3 shot group was the 22 gr of 4227 and actually a 4 shot group as I had a different point of aim for my cold bore shot but would still have been within 1″. The lower 4 shot group was 26 gr of 4227 and chronied at an average of 2005 fps and measured 5/8″. Unfortunately as I worked up to 28 gr the combination of the 205 gr bullet and the 7 lb rifle was too much for the Wotac scope. I’ll be getting a Leupold this time… that’s what I get for trying to save a buck!

Not trying to steal OP’s thunder actually backing up the molds performance
I did this last night in fading light just before darkFirst trial group of the NOE 311299HP mold.
Shot this with a 10.5″ Noveski 300 Blackout and YHM Suppressor.
Velocity Approx 1000 FPS .
100% feed and Function
got expansion in hard packed sand and 12″ of penetrationplanning on shooting a 10 shot group next ..
so far I am extremely happy with the mold and the performance

I was considering IMR 4227 loads too, really nice performance on that load. I’ll be following to see how the results go with a warmer load with that bullet. Great shooting.

All my groups were shot with a factory T3 Lite so with a custom Sako you may be able to get em all in the same hole. Work ups with hotter loads and fillers didn’t produce groups nearly as good as in the initial post… can’t seem to leave well enough alone. Did get powdercoat setup and will try some of those in the future.
