What is the proper adjustment method for NOE mold handles?

Mine arrived adjusted perfectly but the bolt worked loose on the first time out and started causing me some alignment issues. I assume they need to be tightened down and then backed off a quarter to half turn or something along those lines. Just wondered if there was a “go to” method similar to the adjustment advise given on the sprue plate pivot screw.

Good question – will get a sticky made!

Yes – Tighten the pivot bolt until the spring washer is
fully compressed and the lock nut bottoms out and
just stops turning.
Next back the nut off about 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn.
This should let the handle halves pivot with out “rocking” side to side.
And give you full engagement of the lock nut.
This should also give good clearance between the halves.
