Just purchased one of these and wondered if anyone had a preferred mold for it. No hunting, just looking best accuracy for target and possible competition.

I shoot a lot of this mold (454-255-RF 45 Colt) out of my Vaquero, Blackhawk, and 92’s.  It is one of my favorite bullet molds and seems to be the “go to mold” when I want to crank out a bunch of good plinker ammo.  I just picked up the Keith mold this last week and was able to cast some bullets with it yesterday.  I am anxious to do some testing and see how it goes.  But as far as a great all around bullet in the 45 colt, I’d say start with the 454-255-RF.

Thanks for the reply, I looked at that one and this one  454-255-SWC 2 cavity PB (454424).  Unfortunately they are out of plain base in the one you have.  I powder coat everything so I really don’t need a gas check in any of my pistol loads.  I do like the RF style as I use them with good success in both my Tokarev and 40 S&W.  Waiting for the gun to show to know for sure what size I need. .

I must be lucky, the SWC is in stock and on sale now.  Got one coming!

Awesome!  Post some pics and share your results once you get casting with it.
