NOE recommendation for a Marlin 1894 44 rem mag mold

Hey guys, I was wondering if you might have a recommended bullet mold for my Marlin 1894 44 rem mag carbine.

I’d bet any money the 432-265 RD was designed for reliable feeding in lever actions.  It has a short round flat nose and plenty of lube grooves for a rifle length barrel.  I shoot the gas checked version in my Rossi 92 and sized to .433 it’s a perfect fit

Indeed. The Ranch Dog 432-265 RF was designed specifically for use in .444 Marlin lever-actions, with the cartridge’s not-insignificant overall length handicap in those applications.  But, the bullet is equally at home in .44 Mag.
The 432-243 RF shares the same nose dimensions, it’s just shorter and lighter, overall.

For general use, either would be good.

Soon I will be trying the new HTC432-263-WFN to see if it feeds fine in my 92 and henry.  If so, that is going to be a great bullet!

The 432-278 seems to feed good in my 92 also.  If you’re trying to find a serious looking bullet this is it.

I am so happy with the RD 432-265 that I bought one four cavity in aluminum and then a second hollow point flavor mold in brass.  It shoots well in my Marlin 1894, Ruger SBH and two S&W 629s.

Unfortunately every time I take a single round loaded with that bullet afield the deer flee in terror. So no idea how they work on game.

Does anyone have a good powder and gr specs to go along with the RD432-265gc bullet for the Marlin 1894 in 44 mag. Can’t seem to locate one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I use Alliant 2400 in my upper end loads with the 432-265 which ends up weighing 270 gr with my alloy.  I SWAG’d the data from Alliant’s data here:

and what I found for similar bullet weights in my reloading manual library.  I’ve never chrono’d my load as I was trying for accuracy in my 1894 and my Ruger SBH and got it.  I figure it will probably kill multiple deer if they are lined up properly.

I am using 23gr H110 behind my gas checked 432-265.  This is approaching a max load for sure.  No chronograph numbers yet.
