Didn’t want to hijack a thread sooooo… I’m getting back into casting and I’ve always pan lubed my bullets in the past with good results. I’m hearing good things about White Label and was wondering which lube will work best for my application? I have a mixture of molds. Couple of Ranch Dog rifle molds and planning to pick up a NOE mold for my 35/30-30 with standard lube grove. Any suggestions? Thanx!

I like BAC. I have pan lubed with it. It’s a little softer and stickier than the Carnauba Red. I had trouble keeping the CR in the grooves when I punched the bullets out of the lube.
I would think the 50/50 would work well too, but I have never tried it from White Label.

I’m an Alox dipper but have started to have some trouble with my fingers dipping the high volume of bullets that I shoot. This fellows recipe and post has gotten me interested.

I don’t like to pan lube (I do it with black powder lubes though) but I have done so with BAC. Use a fired case as a cookie cutter, and open up the flash hole so you can stick something down there to pop the bullet out. Or, cut the base off the case and use it as a “push through” cutter.

We have been getting orders for quite awhile for 2# of BAC and 1# CRed.

Our 50-50 lube works well also.

Thanks for the input gentlemen! Some day I will invest in a lube sizer press but at the moment, I’m not a high volume shooter so pan lubing will suffice. I should of pointed out the rifles I shoot the most are 7.62×39, 300 Savage and 35/30-30. My velocities are running from 1800-2700 f.p.s.

The rifle I used was a Marlin 336A, pre-cross bolt with a 24″ barrel. I had it done by JES Reboring http://www.35caliber.com/ Same ballistics as the 35 Rem even thought the 35 Rem has just a hair more case volume. Fast turn around, took about two weeks. The RD 190 grain is the “berries” for this cartridge. Want to try out the RD 175 grain but haven’t had a chance to shoot them yet. Very happy with it!

I’ve read the thread a few times, looks promising! I’m assuming I’ll still need to use that type of Alox lube (45/45/10 or other) for the TL design cast bullets?

I pan lube for black powder and when I don’t have the right sizing die or a compatible nose punch.

The rest of the time I use my Lyman 4500 with Carnauba Red – much faster.
