What’s the chances of picking up the slack on the buys that ACE left hanging in the breeze? Especially this one as it’d give you a nice light 6.5 boolit. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?243874-A-C-E-Co-6-5-Grendel-125-grJuddy

Participant::G’Day everyone
Well it’s nice to contact a gentleman. Von Gruff has responded to my message and here it is.Giday Juddy and thank you for the consideration you have shown in making contact. I have been following the goings on with ACE / Josh at CB and elsewhere and felt for those who had been let down.
Of course I would be pleased if NOE took over the design and bought the moulds to the table.
I have run this bullet to over 2300fps with hunting accuracy but no expansion so ongoing alloy trial are in order but I fully expect to be able to get a 200yd hunting bullet over the summer.Regards,
Garry.
So it looks good and if RG’s are on the table I’ll be changing my order.

Is this something we need to get approval from Von Gruff to run?

Al, the link in post 1 of this thread describes the boolits as being drawn up by Veral Smith for vonGruff. So the ACE mold was already going to be a copy of someone else’s work.

If you don’t reckon it’ll go “so be it” everyone was interested in the ACE version so if it’s a solid I’m still in. I thank you again for doing these molds for us and especially after I pushed the BRP .360 180 grn till it happened. The service you do now with the 10 minimum limit groupbuys has enabled us all to acquire the molds we once only dreamed about or waited many months (some for two years) for, till sometimes we even gave up.
On behalf of everyone thanks and if I didn’t have some of your molds due to the lack of factory stuff where I live I wouldn’t be shooting.

Participant::We have a limitation on the RG moulds of .20 on the meplate.
Not sure how that will work out with this design.
Will try to get a drawing together in the next day or twoBullet maker, maker
Al NelsonAl,
I really like the flat nose design of the NOE 260 – 89Gr. RCBS design from the recent group buy I was greatfully apart of.
A great small game/varmit bullet. It has a 0.20 Meplat but I’m not sure what others are wanting.

I reckon the solid with the .135 meplat is the one. The people originally signed up for that design with A.C.E. and were happy. To let everyone know, I’ll be using mine in a bolt so meplat size doesn’t matter to me and also I love RG’s. But we need to make sure the design is one that the good folks at NOE can continue to sell and this design suited to the AR (we can’t own then in AUS) will be a better choice economically for them.

Participant::I like the original design the best with the small metplat. I will be shooting it out of 3 different guns but only one is an AR, the others are a pistol and a bolt action. The bolt action is why I was wondering about the 145 too. If anyone has an answer to that question I would love to hear it.
