I am fairly new to casting for a rifle, although I have several years behind me of casting for handguns.  I just bought a 311-180-FN gas check mold for my .30-06.  I am looking at the bullets and wondering, do I just lube up to the two grooves, and is that top (third) groove for the bullet crimp?  I did a search but did not find anything addressing this.  Here is a link to the profile.

Yes, lube up the 2 lube grooves and you can also put lube into that third groove between the gas check and the bottom driving band.

Thank you!  Yeah, that space between the gas check and the first driving band will be getting lube.  I am using a Lyman 4500 for that.
