Ordered two because I am super happy with my 432-265RD.  I’m really anxious to get these ones since 240 gr has been my go to bullet in three of my four 44 mags.

BTW The extra I ordered was a 4 cavity GC that no one on the list had down.  I didn’t steal anyone’s mold.

Got the mold this morning about 9AM had it cleaned with brake cleaner and sooted about twenty minutes later . Think I made about a dozen pours before I got it the way I wanted . Then cast perhaps 2 1/2 dozen . Might see if I can get them loaded up for my 444 !

                6PT,

If you’re using a Lee pot, set it to 8 as per Ranchdog recommendations. Microgroove bullet molds want to be run hot for best fill out. Both mine cast good on the third pour. That is after letting them sit on a hot plate between medium and medium high while lead melted.

Im still figuring it out…but this works. Thought about cutting a notch so the pail sits flat. Unnecessary IMHO.

Then put on a small tin pail on top of the mold on the hot plate and left there until the rest of my set up is ready.

Very consistent mold. With straight wheel weights i got .433 and 253 grain average.

Im retiring more molds this week!.

I noticed that with my 432-265.  I got the best fill out when the bullets come out with a matte finish just before the bases start to frost.  Mold temp was key, the alloy temp didn’t seem to matter much.

Great looking mold Al.  I can’t wait to cast some boolits with it.

I as stated earlier have had one of the original Lee 432-240GC FN molds for several years . So I got an RG2 this time and used the supplied HP pins . Cast a bunch sized lubed and checked . Then loaded them for the 444 Marlin . Only tried H322 and used the charge I use for the FN version and a grain under . Sorry to say I only tried them at 50 yards so far but three at the same charge as the FN were in one nice round hole at 50 yards . Jay bird I run the pot hot , I just think after twenty years it’s getting a little tired . So it may be time to upgrade to the Lyman 25 .
