I would like to see scaled up versions of John Alaxander’s 227-80 grain MOS bullet, but with the following modifications.

Shorten the gas check shank so that gas check fits almost flush with first band.

Shorten the bore ride length a tad for larger calibers…. 6mm, 30 cal

NOE called me today and they are very interested in doing this.  More time is needed for final measurements.

30 caliber as cast measurements using soft alloy: .3105 at bands and .3000 bore ride section

6mm (.243)caliber as cast version measurements using soft alloy: ?

80 percent of the bullet is chambered for good alignment. Short band area with long bore ride section. As cast bore ride diameter of .300 (soft WW alloy) would be nice

A brass version that has zero play between mold halves would be perfect

I have requested over 3 months ago for NOE to make 6mm, 6.5mm, 7mm, 30 calibers versions of this bullet…but NOOOOOOOOOOOO. This bullet design just makes perfect sense and will out shoot everything else NOE sells…maybe this is the reason for me being ignored?

Shorten the gas check shank so that gas check fits closer to drive band. You know what else needs to be done.
