Don’t forget that it’s easy to custom fit a seating plug with a small ball of epoxy putty. I use some stuff by J B Weld , and have found epoxy putty in automotive and plumbing sections of big box stores. Hardens and will last for decades but can still be removed and refitted for another bullet. If your bullet has a flat meplate on it , truncated cone , semi-wadcutter , round-flat , etc… make a flat plug and it works like a charm for all of them . Epoxy putty cheap and it will make a perfect fit to your bullet. I have done this with lube-sizer punches and reloading die bullet seating plugs.
Hey Gary That’s elegant!! AND it has a tad of flex Think I’ll use the 5 minute $0.99 (on sale) stuff from HF and a dab of silicon lube on the Boolit nose Got a handful of nose plugs I’ve picked up at gun shows.
If you want a temporary seater plug that fits your bullet nose perfectly, last surprisingly long if your careful with it and is easily removable try sealing wax from a stationary store. It was used to seal letters back in my day. Heat ,seat and you have your custom seater.
