Using my triumph from Thompson center 50 cal w 85 gr bh209, and a Noe 460-350 ranch dog sized to .452 I knocked the living you know what out of a doe at 20 yards. Worked like a charm. No real explosion style bullet holes but I could fit a index finger and a middle finger into the exit wound. No running away it dropped immediately

Congrats! Did you happen to find the bullet? I’d be curious tosee how it stood up to passing through.

          I was wondering the same.

I checked the deer as soon as inshot and appeared to be complete pass through and not to be synical lazy but I guarantee that beast buried itself deep deep in the dirt. I’m taking a guess that the bullet either blew bone material as it left due to its large front nose out the exit hole or it came close to doubling its diameter from disruption from bone.

A few months ago I took a 300+ lb boar with a ranch dog 460-350 out of a 45-70 going 1500fps.  Not a heavy load by far but quite effective at knocking it down.

It really doesn’t take much to make these bullets perform
