Al’s bullets are always the most shiny!  Mine never get as shiny as his, ha ha!

Any update on how these bullets performed. I am looking for something in this weight range to use in my 10.5′ build. My only concern is that my Barrel is a Faxon Firearms 5R 1/8 twist and I have heard from some that its not fast enough to stabilize something this heavy.  Any thoughts?

I just received the HTC version that drops at .310 into water with my current alloy. After PC it is .312 and definitely needs some Hornady One-Shot spray lube to be able to size it back down to .309, plus it increased length by 0.007″ (lead has to go somewhere) – I think this is what the TL version makes a littler easier. Like the banding in Barnes solids to reduce engraving pressure, the TL design would help there too.
I’ll probably purchase the next size larger sizing die to make this a little easier in a couple steps, use a thicker bench top and a longer arm on my RockChucker press.
When I’m done experimenting with the Grendel mold(s) I’ll work on this a bit more.

Using a light crimp from a Lee collet die and 10.5 ~ 11.0 of Accurate 1680 loaded to 2.218″ COAL, I can stay sub-sonic out of my 16″ barrel.
The sad part is that while I can achieve single digit Sd using S&B primers that’s not where the accuracy is. It’s probable that my powder coating is not as uniform as it could be.
