Any thoughts on whether or not this would be a good profile for a Tokarev?  What I have read to date suggests a heavier bullet may be in order but don’t have enough experience with this round yet to know.  I would think the TL design would better to deal with crimp wise than on a Lee 311-100-2R.

It depends on what your bore slugs at and what your chamber dimensions are.  At .314″ and a tumble lube profile, it’s a pretty chubby bullet for a gun that ostensibly runs on a .310″-.311″.  My gut feeling is the various .30 Carbine options are more to the point.

It actually slugs at .313, which is one reason I’m looking at it.  Compared to a standard lube groove design like a Lyman 313429 or Lee 311-100-2R, I may have a little more latitude in crimping given the very short neck on the brass.  I need to do some measurements of this design compared to what I’m currently using.  I’m not sure what feeding issues I might run into.

Well. . .I can’t tell you much about the feeding quirks of the Tok. . .only the 1911 it’s derived from.

in which I found true happiness with a .45 bullet very similar in profile to what Ranch Dog has laid out.

How the Tok presents that bottleneck round to the ramp and what weight it wants is something you would know better than I, but it sounds like you’re right there on the diameter.  Can’t hurt to try, and you’re there for a .32 auto if one ever follows you home.

I’m kicking this mould around for use in a 32-20. It will mostly see use in one of my old 92’s or a Navy Arms 1873 clone. I’m thinking it may be a little light but really don’t know. Anyone ever used this bullet in a 32-20?
