This looks like it would be a really good bullet to use in a sabot for an Inline Muzzle Loader. Especially the GC version which would clear the interior, round bottomed corners of the sabot. I wonder how well it would fly without the gas check?

I’ve been playing with my Encore muzzle loader and some saboted cast bullets. I have both Hornady and Harvester sabots. The Hornady have that rounded bottom corner that works best with a GC bullet and NO GC. The Harvester sabots are completely flat on the bottom and work well with a non GC bullet. By the way the GC bullets seem to fly quite true with out a GC seated on them.
