I purchased this 5 Cavity mold from a member of a popular casting forum. It was described as being PB, but when it came it was actually a GC design.
My Enfield needs to have all of the .316. I believe the bullet will need to seat deep enough that the base will be below the short bottleneck of the 303 case, so the check needs to be secure.
I need to buy checks as I have none. I do not have any other small rifle molds, so I do not want to get the wrong size checks.
Will the 30 cal checks fit correctly, or do I need to use the 8MM checks?
I had intended the bullet to stay in the 13-1400 fps range as a PB. Is there any chance this GCed design would work in this speed range without any check?
I am new to casting and even newer to gas checks, sorry if this is a no-brainer question.
Thank you for your time, Tim.
