I’ve been thinking about drawing up a heavy bullet for 300 blk shooters which would be designed in such a way that feeding is not affected by how thick the powdercoating goes on.  So, hitek, spray PC, or shake and bake PC would all be easy to use and not affect feeding and chambering of the bullet in an AR15.  Anybody interested in such a bullet?

I would be very interested in this. Would prefer plain base, brass, 4 Cavity mold. Would be willing to swing for something similar in hollow point. If that already exists then I will eventually find it. I am new to casting (but not too reloading) and some of the terminology and abbreviations are still confusing.

I will try to draw it up and then we can modify it as needed.

Something like this is what I have in mind.  Made to be able to feed right in AR15’s as well as no finicky bore ride section on the nose for chambering easier when powder coated.  Open to ideas for modifications.  Would sit deep in the 300 blk case–but should still be fine for subsonic shooting.  I kind of want it for simple easy casting, powder coating, and loading for subsonic 300 blk shooting/plinking.

Would a gas check help at all you think?

We could do both… Gas check or plain base options.

Is it possible with this design to have a HP ?

Maybe a little heavier too? To help cycling in semi-autos?

it should cycle just fine with either cfeblk, a1680, etc…
