Well this bullet mold special run was done at my request.  I organized it will Al and I certainly appreciate the effort that goes into this.

That being said, it was ME who made the blunder.  I had recruited several buyers from 300BLK.com to get in on the group buy.  Many of them came here and got in on it.  I knew several of them wouldn’t check back very often.  So when I got my message from Al saying that they were ready to order….I copied and pasted a portion of the PM into a post on the 300BLK site.  😮  I did this to notify them to come and BUY.  I didn’t want Al stuck with a bunch of pre-ordered molds with buyers who “changed their mind.”  My intentions were 100% good…..however my methods were flawed to say the least.  ???

There was absolutely NO malicious intent there at all.  When I was told about the error, I send Al an immediate apology.   It was a simple “brain fart” and I am very sorry.  I hope that everyone gets the new code and their purchase goes as planned.

Received my mold yesterday and am seasoning it now!

Did some casting today (first time casting anything).  Looks like they turned out pretty good. Can’t wait to load some up and do some shooting!

Those look pretty good Glock_556, way better than my first time casting!!  Welcome to the addiction!  Those long, skinny bullets are a little bit more challenging to cast than “normally” proportioned bullets, but you’re off to a good start.  Would one of you who have cast some mind sharing what alloy you used and measure the nose in three places…front band in front of the crimp groove, nose in front of where that band steps down to nose diameter, and try to get a feel for where the nose “body” starts to curve to a point, meaning the base of the ogive?  None of my rifles will accept a bore-riding nose larger than .300″ out pas where the throat ends.  Looks from the light on the bullet noses that these break into the curve of the ogive soon enough to be able to work in my guns.  I’m looking to buy one of these if they become available as a stocking item, but want to make sure that they will fit first.  TIA for any info.
