Keymaster::As some of you already know, we are working on moving to a new e-commerce platform that will allow us to better serve you, our customer. One of the concerns by some of you has been our SSL certificate is a shared SSL provided by our hosting service rather than a dedicated SSL in our name. We will be updating that as part of our move to a true NOE SSL certificate. In order to make that change we will be moving to a static IP which means DNS will have to update. During that time when DNS Is updating, the site will not be at the old address and you may not be able to find the new address until the DNS update completes. We anticipate no more than 24 hours to accomplish this, so please bare with us as we work to make things better for all of us.
Al will be along with an announcement of the new site soon, Look for big things on the 31st or the 1st.
Thanks
Wiljen

Participant::Good morning, I just received an email link to check out the new website. Wow, you folks did a super job. It’s awesome. Looks great and I’m very much looking forward to the new platform. Onward and upward…. congratulations Al and Company, your passion shows. Thank you for such a great place to get custom molds and parts. I know I’m not the only one that absolutely love your products. Happy new year and may you have a blessed day.

Participant::When I got an email to try the new site the certificate wasn’t loaded and no browser would allow a connection. That was fixed weeks ago
After that I tried to sign in with my forum user name and got about what you did about the password as it said I might.
I went to forgotten passwords put in my email address and ask for reset. Like the post says to.
Reset popped up in my email almost immediately and I followed instructions which worked just fine.
I posted one on some topic after mountain man to see if I could and it worked. Seems things there have transgressed

Checked user info and it had my email OK but nothing else.
The forum has been reloaded since that and a lot is not there yet (has much in common with the Chesire Cat). My account order history etc have not been cross loaded yet.
REMEMBER It’s a WIP not a finished site
and as with any of these adventures it will take WAY more time than originally anticipated. :-[I like the look and navigation of the new site! Looking forward to it

Hang in there. Will (tech flunkie) will get it sorted out

Participant::Check what email address you have on this site in your “profile” It’s also the one you sign into the store with on this site and you get your NOE emails on.
It’s easy to type your address wrong – I do it all the time :-[
Have reset twice when the new site was loaded and reloaded. I entered my email address and got something to the effect that the reset link was sent. Went to my inbox and followed the email instructions.
I expect to have to reset it again when the new site goes LIVE

::Check what email address you have on this site in your “profile” It’s also the one you sign into the store with on this site and you get your NOE emails on.
That’s a negative.
The email address I used to register for the forums is not the address I used to register for the NOE store.
(I don’t like unimportant things like PM notifications from forums mixing with more important things like invoices for financial transactions.)
I have tried both.2018-01-22 at 19:17 #509969k7sparky
Participant::I’m out of guesses. AND I failed to remember you stated the different emails back a ways :-[
I have the same email on bothem.
Might try emailing the “Tech Flunky” Will and asking him if the different email addresses are causing the hiccup. I doubt you are the Lone Ranger with 2 addresses.
As I remember there was nothing other than the email address carried over there. Forum has my user name and nothing else.
The FAQs there helped a lot also.
PMs, passwords and the like were called out as not to be transferred.
The new site the old mold numbers to new ones cross reference / “name mappings” is great
There is a red “here” link to it to the left of the drawing. To save time here it is http://noebulletmolds.com/main/using-our-products/name-mappings/ The embedded links to molds and drawings are also handy.2018-02-24 at 16:05 #509973gwpercle
Participant::Send me a email when the new site goes into effect, I’ll reset my password then. I tried twice a few minutes ago but that feature didn’t seem to be working for me. No reset emails were sent…didn’t know what else to do.
One big question…Can I use the same password that I’m using now on this site….I have it firmly lodged in my brains memory bank and would like to continue using it. Us old guys have trouble learning new tricks..it would be nice to keep the same one.

Participant::No reason to think you can’t set any password you want over there.
My user name is the same. I sign onto the new site with user name and have both store and forum. When I go to forum or main page it says “you are already logged in:” in the long top box
From what I see there is a hick up during the test period for those of you with different emails for the store and forum on the old site.
Here is the URL I get on the new site for password reset:
http://noebulletmolds.com/main/wp-login.php?action=lostpasswordIt says enter email or username
That would give you 3 different attempts to try to get a reset email. If any of the 3 work a post here would help others
Not much happening over there I post there intermittently.

Participant::I used the URL for new site for password reset you posted. Thought I was going to get it reset , I entered my user name , I only have one. No email showed up.
Next I tried with my email address, I only have one but again no email showed up.Walk me through the process:
1.) Go to new site password reset – done
2.) Type in User Name or Email address- did it both ways with my only UN and EM address
3.) Click on get new password button- done
4.) Next it says “check email for confirmation link” – I check email….nothing in email , no confirmation link. I try changing password without confirmation link …it wont let me .What am I doing wrong ? Computer illiterate old man in need of help.

Participant::You did it correct or at least the way I did.
I got you confused with someone that had separate emails for the forum and store.
Can you still sign into the NOE store on this -the old- site? That is email address and PW.
I am under the impression that Wil “Tech Flunkie” only did one cross load to the new site for testing maybe early December. At that time I think only the 1000 club was notified of testing. When he got the first few problems worked out a general email went out to forum members to test the new site.
If you set up your account here after that there is a good chance there was nothing populated on the new site.
Give a try at setting up a new account on the new site. If that works then your data was not loaded.
It’s always hard to guess what’s happening when you are not part of it. That said, I am thinking when the new site goes operational everything from this store and forum will transfer and what’s in the new forum now will disappear. There was just a once load of store stock and nothing else. The store is just the candy store window no candy will be sold there yet. When I’m in the new store “My Account” there is no information in order history etc.
My first post there showed up as post 1 and has incremented from there.
The FAQ there is a lot of good info

Participant::Thanks for your help Sparky.
If anyone is having trouble getting on the new site …login at the store site and go from there to the new site to reset password.
I was trying to do it from the Forum site and couldn’t get a confirmation email from there.
Going from the store I logged in, went to new site and I got the reset confirmation email, reset new password (just typed in my old one) and got all signed up, logged in , account created .
Things worked when going from the old store site ….they didn’t work when going from the old forum site …have no clue why…but I got registered.
