Lee 4-20 Casting Pot Mold Guide Adapter – Anybody interested?

I had someone ask me about making an adapter for the Lee pot to allow the NOE mold guide to work on it. I talked with Matt & Al and think we have a design that would work to make that possible. I was curious as to how many of you use the bottom pour lee pots who would be interested in an adapter to allow the NOE mold guide shelf to work on the lee pot.

Yes absolutely. I use a lee 4-20 and I can’t justify a larger pot right now. A better mold guide would be a life saver. I hate the stock one

Ok sounds like there are enough people that want them. Going to build a prototype, I will test it, then Al will make a bunch. It should make casting with the heavy brass molds nicer as well as the RG (hollowpoint) molds.

The stock guide on the 4-20 is horrible, so I am interested. Would this be a shelf attached to the two front-supports, or is this some different idea? And I totally agree it should have a groove for RG moulds.

It will be an adapter that allows the current rcbs/Lyman replacement guide to be mounted on the left support rod. At least that is how we’ve designed it. Still waiting on the prototype to be completed to test and make sure the design will work.

Spent some time casting with it today. The Lee’s drip enough that we are going to try some design changes to make it a bit better to accommodate for the drippage. Matt is going to make the cuts in the guide tomorrow and we will test it for strength and functionality.
