Last year I started working on reloading references for the NOE bullet designs, it has gone slower than expected because of the limits of my time but also because I needed to come up with templates that would make the Load Note sheets consistent across all the types of designs and contain as much information as possible for the bullet caster. Al and I think that we have a good format that addresses as many considerations as possible when generating the data so it is time to get started. A quick look at his store’s pages confirms exactly what an undertaking this will be so rather than work from A to Z, I thought I would ask as to what the immediate need of NOE’s customer base is concerning the information to get your bullets out the barrel.

In order to understand how the suggested loads are generated and how the pages are formatted, please read:  Pressure Notes.

Here is what the formatted Load Note pages look like and how the information is presented: 378-275 H&H Mag

If you recommend a bullet design, please include what cartridge you using with the design.

Just a reminder, I normally can only generate one Load Note sheet a day.

Check at http://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/data to see if the notes you are looking for have been posted. If not, make a specific request via a post using the bullet ID profile and cartridge. It will be added to the back of the list. Custom data; specific powder requests, cartridges not in my database, and bores not within .003″ of the bullet’s design diameter, cannot be provided. Data is generated within the confines of templates, please see any Load Notes as a sample of what can be provided.

It is a good idea to bookmark the link above once opened.

Please remember that this data is for NOE’s and RDO’s use. Your use of our Load Notes is at your own risk and only meant for a comparison against other sources.

The drawing database Al sent me does not have a “SC325-180-RF GC HP (Ranch Dog) but does have a “SC323-180-RF GC HP (Ranch Dog)” so I ran that. As long as your groove diameter is within .003″ of what your bullet is sized to, the data will be valid.

I will be out all day tomorrow but I will finish these up over the weekend.

Had some trouble with the 360-150-RN in the 357 Mag, can’t get it to fit for the calculations. With the .358″ nose length plus the spec minimum brass length, the cartridge overall length exceeds the SAAMI spec by .034″. Are you shooting this bullet? Seems the nose is a bit long for the application and might cause some problems with the cylinder clearing the frame.

I am not shooting this bullet (yet), as I haven’t received the mold. But I am confident that it will work fine.
My S&W 686 takes a bullet sticking out .386 or an OAL of 1.68 so it is no problem.
I believe it is only in the old S&W 27 and Colt SAA variations the OAL needs to be that short as SAAMI.
