Last year I started working on reloading references for the NOE bullet designs, it has gone slower than expected because of the limits of my time but also because I needed to come up with templates that would make the Load Note sheets consistent across all the types of designs and contain as much information as possible for the bullet caster. Al and I think that we have a good format that addresses as many considerations as possible when generating the data so it is time to get started. A quick look at his store’s pages confirms exactly what an undertaking this will be so rather than work from A to Z, I thought I would ask as to what the immediate need of NOE’s customer base is concerning the information to get your bullets out the barrel.

In order to understand how the suggested loads are generated and how the pages are formatted, please read:  Pressure Notes.

Here is what the formatted Load Note pages look like and how the information is presented: 378-275 H&H Mag

If you recommend a bullet design, please include what cartridge you using with the design.

Swede has finished organizing his bullet identifications, quite an undertaking with 800 moulds being offered. It will cause some confusion initially as to what mould an individual purchased but down the road it will make more sense. The 30 Carbine bullet data that Paper Puncher requested data for is the 311-121-HP H5.

I’m not going to go into the details of the designation changes but just get the data posted. As customers request data, I’m going to need to figure out exactly which design they are requesting data for but this will all work out in the long run.

I’ve archived all the previous Load Note sheets and will start fresh with as new requests are made. You will also notice a cartridge directory, an image of the cartridge that produced the data will also be available.

Just a reminder, I usually only generate one Load Note sheet a day.

Check at http://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/data to see if the notes you are looking for are posted. If not, make a specific request via a post using the bullet ID profile and cartridge, and it will be added to the list. Custom data; specific powder requests, cartridges not in my database, and bores not within .003″ of the bullet’s design diameter, cannot be provided. Data is generated within the confines of templates; please see any Load Notes as a sample of what can be provided.

It is a good idea to bookmark the link above once opened.

Please remember that this data is for NOE’s and RDO’s use. Your use of our Load Notes is at your risk and only meant for a comparison against other sources.

As a general query, how does Quickload determine the “Minimum FPS” entry on the load sheets?  I ask because I want to convert this number to different twists to match the guns I plan to use, eg. 1 in 10″ is listed on a 9mm sheet while my barrel is 1 in 16″.

Sorry that I’ve not been back to this topic for a reply, been really busy on the ranch.

That number is actually being calculated by the TMT bullet design software. TMT provides an online calculator.

The requests have slowed to a snail’s pace so I’m going to officially start my “hunting season” break from this work. Actually, the ranch and family has kept me busy to the point that I have a tough time turning out the one data set I’ve promised Swede each week.

Hi, I know you said you’re taking some time off of this for hunting season, at least I think I remember you posting that.  But, could you do the 311-169-FN (ELCO) in .300 AAC Blackout and .30-30 when you get back to all of this.  No hurry and thanks again.

RD,  appreciate the load data ! Also the data sent to my Email, I print it and put it in a binder for easy access.
Extremely useful , Thanks.  I clicked on your RD Outdoors/ Data link , but being computer ignorant couldn’t find any data ,  I still haven’t figured computer stuff out.  What I’m looking for is:

                        1. NOE 360-160-WC (360432) – 38 Special .

                        2. NOE 413-215-WC (413432) – 41 Magnum / Special loads ,  loads in 41 magnum cases but at special velocities.

If this is already worked up , let me know and I will do more looking. Thanks Much.

                        Gary

gwpercle, here is a quick rundown of how to use Ranchdog’s data site.  When you get to the main page, you should see some links on the upper-left side.  The most important ones are “NOE”, “RDO”, and “archive”.  The .41 cal you ask about is in the archive (sheets generated before Al updated the mould designations).  Click “archive” then “PDF” then “40” (contains data for all calibers from 40 to less than 50).  The RDO area works similarly to the archive section and contains mainly Ranchdog designs.

As yet, the only notes in the NOE section are the ones that have been sent over the emails, as far as I can tell.  To access these click “NOE” then “notes”.  That section also contains another link to images of cutaway cartridges for the loadsheets that have been generated as yet under “cartridges”.  Hope this helps, it was a little longer than I planned.  I don’t think the .38 you are looking for has been done yet.

Is there a possibility to get data for the 38/45 clerke (necked down 45acp to 38) with the new HTC 358 154 RF BW5? If so can the ADI powders be added aswell like Ap70 and Ap100? I know I’m asking a lot! I’ve been making up loads for it and don’t want to be loading too hot if I can help it.
