This isn’t the sign up thread save your wants for that thread when it appears. This the discussion thread where people can input into the design and gauge interest which is obviously high.

I could talk myself into one of these pretty easily for the 45 auto-rim. Not sure yet if it’ll be a gas check or plain base though. I’ll make up my mind when the buy gets going.

Swede. if you ever decide to offer this mould in a .454″ diameter, I would be very interested.  My S&W 25-2 has .455″-.456″ throats…  Semper Fi, Treetop

                              Treetop,
Intent of this mould is to use a gas check to keep the base at .452 as it transits through an oversize throat, instead of trying to slug up to fit the throat, then have to swage back down.  Discussion of how people have had success with hard bullets in oversize .45 AR throats can be found here:  http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?288801-452190-GC-SWC-for-45-Auto-Rim

The plain base version should be a fine SWC too.

Thanks for the reply, 376!  So this mould at .452″ might be a possible solution for my oversize throats?  Interesting…  Let me do some more reading and I’ll probably join the group buy.  I’m a newbie over here on the NOE forums but I must have 12-15 NOE moulds that I have bought through various group buys over at castboolits and from the webstore.  I prefer NOE over all other mould makers and .45s are my favorite revolver and lever gun caliber.  Semper Fi, Treetop
