      Is anyone else interested in a 45-70 postell style mold that drops at about 500-530gr with slick sides? I pretty much only use HTC now and I’ve read that the slick sides will help at the longer ranges.

        And a 320gr version. Not one I’m interested in but it may be possible to cut with the same cherry for those interested?

          If there is a small enough flat point, it will still work for all the levergun shooters.  If not, think there will still be enough people interested?

            A small flat point like in the picture I can live with if it helps get enough people interested to get this mold into production :)

                Hey kitika, as I am drawing up that bullet design, the first one (513gr.) I am not getting the same bullet weight.  Here is a drawing where I added a little length, but it is still coming out at 429gr.  Tell me what dimensions you think I need to change.

                Here is a lengthened version to match weight to about 500gr:

                  Looks great cornmastah! The program I used had a heavier density for the lead at 13 instead of 11 like yours which would make all the difference. I believe yours would be correct.

                        I have to check some measurements with the 458 socom case, but I think this might work great for a subsonic 500 gr bullet in the 458 socom.

                          I think this one will work in the 458 socom.  This will be cool, a subsonic 458 socom bullet as well as a single shot 45-70 bullet.

                            This should make a great bullet for Powder Coating & HiTek Coating for single shot 45-70’s, subsonic 458 socom.  Can’t wait to try it out in my single shot 45-70’s as well as my 458 Socom subsonic suppressed.

                              anyone test this bullet yet in socom? I am seating to about 2.18 for it to pass Sheridan slotted gauge but seems to fit in my Tromix barrel out to 2.24 but not sure I want feed issues.
