I have zero experience with tumble lubed cast bullets. All my bullets have been sized and lubed in what I’ll call the conventional method. I believe that I understand the tumble lube method, size then tumble lube three or four times load shoot. I just didn’t like the other mould manufactures bullet profiles. My question is if it turns out I’m less than enthusiastic about tumble lubing can I size and lube the old fashion way. The grease volume for the SC-359-190-RF is listed as .017cc in it’s drawing and the TLC-359-190-RF is listed as .0112 cc or about 30% less. If this is doable I would be willing to broaden my experience and try a RG4 in my Contender and Model 14. Any opinions out there?

        David,

This bullet is tested and bonified. I have an original Ranch Dog that fits the bill for all my 35 caliber guns: 357 Maximum, 357 Herrett, 35 Remington and 350 Remington Magnum. A little Lee Liquid Alox and a touch of mineral spirits to thin it down. Put a whole bunch of bullets in a clean cottage cheese container with lid and swirl. Let them dry and load them or gas check them and size them.

        Swede,

I have Christmas money to spend, can we get this puppy started. There has got to be enough 35 caliber loonies on the Marlin Owners forum that will bite and want one or more. 35remington off the Marlin owners forum will want a plain base one for sure. I told him about it last night.

Big Slug, I sure hope it will drop a .360 bullet.
I looked at that 305 200 for the S&W. The CG to base looks like it will end up with the base quite a bit below the base of the neck? If I’m reading it right it’s .375!

My original Ranch Dog TLC359-190-RF made by Lee Precision drops at 360 to 361. All my 35 caliber guns love this bullet from the 357 Maximum to my 350 Remington Magnum.

I want a hollow point version of this bullet.

I think that’s 8. Anybody else? Of course we all have to wait for the “Real(?) Keith” bullet run to be finished.

I mentioned this over on the cast boolets levergun forum, maybe we can get it going.

Count me in, I was waiting for another GB to go to production but I guess I should have pulled the trigger instead of trying to save the freight, lol.

I’d like a 4 or 5 cavity AL GC mould.

:)  Hope this is the right place to reply.

Just received my TL359-190-RF in today’s mail..
Thank goodness you packaged it so well because the USPS pretty much destroyed the package on
one end.  No fears the mold and handles came through ok.

I will try to insert an image later.

                              Thanks again GB.
