OK seeing as how I’m on a muzzle loading roll along with the Gardener bullet I also like a good mould of the original Enfield Pritchett bullet.

This drawing was done for/by Oyvind Flatnes when he had a Lee special order mould cut for the Modern Pritchett he designed, I have one of these no longer available moulds and the short bullet works well in the slow twist P53s especially at the shorter ranges.

I would like to see a mould of each the long original and the newer modern Pritchett.

Any one else shoot 577 rifled musket, Britain supplied a substantial amount of these rifle to the North and the South during the American Civil War so surely there has to be some of you shooting these fine firearms.

This is an interesting one to follow. I have been wanting to be able to make the proper ammunition for my P63, this should do it.

I was also wondering if Al could apply the same adjustable depthebase plug that he did on the recent 45 paper patch bullet to this mould so that we could adjust the length and weight.

Just to add I’d be looking for the latter 0.550″ diameter bullet not the earlier 0.568″

I gave a shout out over on the N-SSA board about this, but it doesn’t look like anybody from there joined in. I kind of figured they’d be all over it.

I’m puzzled at the lack of interest myself, thought there might have been some bites for the Gardener bullet too.

That is six of us now, I know of one other who would be interested in this bullet so that is seven.

If it was run in two sizes then I’d have one of each so that would be eight moulds.

Just two more and we will have the magic ten, bugger the general election canvass for Prittchet I say!

I would be interested. The N-SSA is starting a tradition match using original style bullets. But the problem is the rule will not let the shooter to use paper patched bullets. So I would be looking for a .575 dia bullet. I have pasted this on to some other skirmishers.
