Is it another choice for a BO bullet or is this better than the 247 because of some shortcomings that popped up? My paranoid mind starts churning when my legitimate question is ignored?  If I missed some discussion, I searched and didn’t find anything, then point me there so I can read for myself. If this is NOE offering their version of the LEE 230 then just say that and my curiosity will be satisfied.

Neal…this mold IS NOT being offered at all to fix anything with the 247 because the 247 has nothing wrong with it.  This mold is being offered at my request to fix the errors in design with the Lee 309-230-5R.  Gets rid of the boat tail, gets rid of the tumble grooves, and increases the bore rider section at the front of the bullet.  In addition it is made with a diameter that is more conducive with what caster want….. .311 rather than .309 (which actually cast about .307″ in the Lee).

I am very appreciative of N.O.E. offering to make this one for us.  It will be a very nice improvement to the Lee mold and a nice addition to the other 300BLK offerings from N.O.E.

Well that makes sense,  thanks for clarifying the history of it.  Now I need to decide if I am going to get this one.

Might as well join the party. ;D  My brother uses the 247 and he is getting one of these as well.
