Participant::Check out this thread on the GTA…. http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=110616.120
“owen” has been using them in his Condor, with the stock twist barrel, with outstanding results…. He sized them slightly under the groove diameter…. Read through that thread for complete details and results…. It appears that 0.255″ was his best results…. I believe he cut the choked portion off his barrel….

::Hello all, hello Bob,
some feedback of my recent purchase, AWESOME!!!!!, i’m really happy with your mold, at the beginning to be honest it’s very difficult for me because this is the first time i make my own bullet, but now,

both mold are perfect made, it’s a pleasure to see this silver bullet coming out of it

concerning accuracy and speed, i have unchoked himself my barrel, make some adjustments on my valve, my problem now is my plenum isn’t bigger enough to drive at maximum speed my bullet. i shoot now at 820 fps with a 22cm3 plenum and a regulator set to 170 bar. i need to find a way to put a 50cm3 plenum at minimumconcerning bullet, incredible accuracy, very hard impact, trajectory is quasi identical to my jsb pellet even if shooted at lower speed, my shoot at 115 m are identical at my jsb pellet (i do not use it anymore lol)
Bob thank you and thank you again for all your very good advice. without you i’m certainly always shooting pellet
now i know the pleasure to make my own ammo. and it’s just the beginningThierry

Participant::Here are a couple pics of groups from yesterday at 103 yards . These were shot from my Hatsan barrel 17:7 twist with the choke removed at 910 fps average .Barrel slugged at .254 and I sized to the same . I’m waiting on a .253 and .252 sizing bushing to see if I can shrink the groups a wee bit.

::Hello Denis your name tell to me you’re french too?
you’re result are very good, do you need to clean the barrel too when you have shooted 20 or 30 bullets?
by the way we shoot in the same barrel twist, does make sense we need to push at higher speed to compensate low twist rate compared to 1.14 twist rate, if you shoot faster we can make bullet spin more quickly and stabilize better? i’m correct?have a good days all

Participant::When you are shooting Subsonic, increasing the speed decreases the stability, you need a faster twist…. This is a .22LR bullet in an 18″ twist….
Note that between 1100-1130 fps the bullet is unstable (the Stability Factor is less than 1.0)…. That is why .22LR barrels are a 16″ twist…. If you stayed over Mach 1, or below 1000 fps the 18″ twist would work….

Participant::I’ve shot these slugs , a bit slower 850 fps and couldn’t really tell if they were any more accurate. Once I get my sizers I’ll test a few different sizes . As far as cleaning the bore , I’ve had a good look at the barrel and there doesn’t seem to be any leading issues.
And yes I’m a Frenchman ….. Englishman , Indian , German , Afro Canadian and a few more in there I’m sure. Fluent in French and English only.
