Hello all,
a quick feedback on this bullet, i shooted today at 85 m and strangely accuracy isn’t good at all, same setting i go back to 55m and seems perfect.

do you know why my bullet do not go where i shoot passed 55m?

i don’t understand why,
can you help me please, i go to clean the barrel and test tomorrow some shoot series to test

Thierry,
Not sure if I read correctly. Is your barrel choked? If not , you may need to push the bullets a little faster 850+ fps at the muzzle. Your bullets may be going unstable at longer ranges once under 700 fps. Also what mix if any are you using for the lead your casting with ? I’m using a 40:1 lead tin mix and they seem to be pretty good . I may use a bit more tin in my next mix if I notice any leading in my barrel after the next 50 or so shots.

Stability should increase at lower velocities, not decrease, when you are Subsonic….  There may be some wobble that is showing up at longer ranges, however…. The 17.7″ twist of a LW barrel may prove to be a bit slow…. although Owen was having great success at 100 yards….  ???

Good morning to all
my barrel is unchocked
i use lead i found in a shop who is pure lead, effectively barrel keep some lead on it and i must clean it every 30 shoot

for testing i make some HP who are less than 2.9 grammes with the NOE mold and seem to be more accurate at 85m
give me an idea on twiist rate too slow if i’m correct
secondly i do not have breech to load bullet i must push it hard it barrel maybe i print a bad axys on it too
concerning speed i have make test with regulated valve bad result at 754 ft/s 
with hi flow valve i push to 880 ft/s accuracy seem a little bit better
i talk at 85m because both valve give great accuracy at 55m

today i go make some test again with cleaned barrel

ok after a good barrel cleaning,
i come back to stand to test again at 85m,
the result is far to be good same than yesterday.
i see a better group with HP at 2.9grams but more than 3 inch group even at 3 different speed;  250, 260 and 270 m/s

my rifle go to tuning next week to the gunsmith, new valve, hammer regulator, spring, and i take back my kral tuned to 100 fpe to continue the test
i can’t buy here a 1.15 twist barrel,
does someone can sell to me a .25 barrel like TJ or similar to put on my condor please

You can’t buy from USA because ITAR-restriction. Try some EU country should not be a problem.

Hello all,
thank you Teemu, i do not know this law, now i understand why is so difficult to buy a barrel from USA lol
i have found some barrels here but only in 1:10 twist i do not know if is is good all i see on forum work with 1:14 twist i’m afraid to lost a big amount of FPS with a so quick twist rate

What are you sizing your bullets to? I’m going to go -.0002 smaller than the barrel . You said they were hard to chamber, to me that sounds like they are too big.

yes Denis you’re right but too small and you waste lot of air, after checking bullet speed do not increase at various sizing i slug it à 253 (who give 253.5 is 0.005 smaller than barrel and same result some shoot to right some to left, i have same problem with my kral at 100fpe

when i shoot jsb with the non chocked barrel accuracy is demoniac. my target at 100 m is 2cm large and i hit almost everytime
i doubt is the length of bullet maybe too long for LW barrel IN 17.7 twist (condor and kral are same barrel now)
i try later to remove gas check on 20 or 30 bullet and test shorter ammo

i think bullet are too long, i need to test 41gr to see the difference they are smaller in size of jsb exact 34 grains and a bit longer than JSB exact 1.640 grams
with regulated valve i shoot 2.2 grams at 290m/s with laser accuracy and 1.640 at 310m/s same
i think seriously i need shorter bullet with this barrel

That’s on barrel manufacturer if You want different go google and try there. Barrel blanks can be shipped from EU country to other EU country with out hassle and no need licence…

I’ve started weighing the slugs I’ve cast , I don’t have any results to post but I can tell you a lot of the bullets ended up being more than a full grain lower even if they looked perfect on the outside. This may be the explanation for the frequent flyers your getting and me also. It’s been -30*C here for over a week so I haven’t been able to shoot . This is trial and error for both you and me . Hopefully , I will get them sorted out soon and can give all the info I have .

denis, i weigth all my ammo too by luck i have only 0.020 grams difference between bullets

Are You talking about caliber .25 cal which is on metric system 6.35mm or caliber .257 which is on metric system 6,5278 mm. There is big difference.
