Would anyone else be interested in a simple clone of the RCBS 32-98-SWC mould . I have the 2 cavity RCBS mould but a RG4 hollow point option and 5 cavity for some real production sounds really good to me .

In my case WC models hasn’t been success in any barrel/rifle (airgun) so I’m leaving that GB alone

Have you considered the 314008? Copy of Lyman’s 3118 or 311008.

if you referring me I already have that NOE’s mold. That RCBS mold which is mentioned at this topic 98gr is very accurate bullet aleast airguns which I and few my friends has, and I got that mold also but still liked to get it from NOE’s version. And possible RG version won’t hurt anybody  ;)

I’ve been wanting to reply here but my computers been on the fritz. The 32-98-swc bullet mould is just the traditional weight in smaller 32 calibers. It works well in many applications. I have the NOE 314-115-fn GC in 5 cavity the NOE 314-115-fn pb 5 cavity and the 314-115-fn RG4 with 2 pb and 2 GC. I haven’t purchased the NOE copy of the Lyman 311008 as they have been out of stock since I found this site. I do have the Lyman version however. I also have the RCBS 98-wc mould and the RCBS 32-98-swc mould I began this thread about. With regards to the NOE 315-90-wc (hb) mould I’m number 2 on the list of wants. If I go digging more 32 moulds will turn up. NOE moulds have worked well for me and a NOE mould  in the 32-98-SWC configuration would be a welcome addition. If this mould should go to production I’m in for 2. One 5 cavity pb and one RG4 pb preferably in brass.

I would be interested in a 4 or 5 cavity 98 RCBS clone. Randy.

If samples are wanted it’s easy enough they just need to be cast of ww instead of my normal 20-1.

Short answer is yes ww samples won’t be an issue. They will need to be cast as my normal mix with this mould is 20-1. I use this bullet mainly in smaller 32’s under 1200 fps so hardness isn’t a problem. May I ask what mix you use for airguns. I imagine it’s on the soft side of the scale.

It depending a barrel. Some airguns has “real gun” barrels some has BP barrels etc. I am using pure lead with 2% Sn in. It works for me. I think it is like 7-8 BHN

You mention in the air gun section hitting soda cans at 300 meters. No mention of what bullets your using and I doubt the 32-98 swc is the first choice here. I’m looking for similar accuracy but I want a 3 centimeter target at 15 to 20 meters with a fixed sighted 4 inch revolver. Your air rifles may have more velocity than my 32 S&W long cartridge at 750 to 850 feet per second. The 32-98-swc bullets are  my choice for this purpose.

That bullet is exatly that 98grain RCBC… It is dropping something like 102 grain and it  very accurate bullet in my Corsair .308 and few other airguns. I just planning before this topic to go and order same RCBS mold because it is so good working bullet.

That Corsair shoots that 102 grain bullet about 950 FPS. That airgun is very picky for bullets. Only 2 good working bullet that RCBS and Lyman Spitzer. Only those 2 works

I’m impressed, I can’t even begin to guess what your drop figures out to be at 300 meters not to mention trying to dope the wind. I couldn’t agree with you more regarding this bullets accuracy though. A few more willing people and we’ll save you from having to go the RCBS route.

Yeah I hope we get that 10 buyers. It is like 150 clicks on turret 0.1mrad = 1cm @ 100m. When scope is zeroed on 100m. Scope is Vortex Viper PST 6-24x 50 FFP. and I got Burris zee rings to get more elevation on scope. It is about 15 MRAD depending temperature…to get 100m—>300m
