Would anyone else be interested in a simple clone of the RCBS 32-98-SWC mould . I have the 2 cavity RCBS mould but a RG4 hollow point option and 5 cavity for some real production sounds really good to me .

For those of you that own S&W revolvers in .32 S&W Long, what do the cylinder throat diameters typically measure?

        Thanks,

        TJ

Just played with some pin gauges and a S&W 31-1, two chambers would accept .312 but not .313, close but not quiet. The other four went .313. And I’m with teemu it does look to be ten. Hopefully we can get this buy rolling. Thanks everyone and Mr. Nelson.

I’m in for a 315-103-SWC (five cavity aluminum mold for a PB SWC solid). I want it to drop at .315″ when casting of WW’s+2% tin.

The RCBS version of this bullet is the most accurate .32 caliber cast handgun bullet I have used.  The only issue is that when used in the Ruger Single Seven and .327 Federal cases the bullet must be seated deeper and crimped on the front driving band because the cylinder is slightly shorter than most .327 federal cylinders.  I have not discerned any loss of accuracy from crimping on the front driving band nor have I had any pressure issues but I only use the bullet for mid-range practice and plinking.

If this is going to be an identical clone of the RCBS bullet I want a five cavity, plain base, non-hollow point aluminum mold to replace my two, two cavity RCBS molds.

I’ve been in contact with Al on this one.
                                    I have a T/C Contender in 32 H&R Mag.
As many of you are aware, it has a true .308″ dia. barrel.
                                    I don’t need ( and don’t want ) a .315 ” clone of this bullet.

I ask Al if a .311 ” version could be cut.  He said ” No Problem.”

                                    So I’m in for a 5 cav. solid , .311″ version.

                                    Ben
